WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (June, 27, 2013) –LEGOLAND® Florida today introduced a dramatic “floating” centerpiece, called Mount Cavora, to the site of The LEGO® World of Chima presented by Cartoon Network expansion. The installation, which will tower 55 feet above the attraction, marks the final major construction milestone ahead of the area’s July 3 opening.

Mount Cavora, based on The LEGO Legends of Chima storyline, is a mystical floating mountain that provides animals with the energy source CHI via its waterfalls. The attraction structure will cascade water into the interactive splash-battle family ride, The Quest for CHI, soaking everyone below. The Quest for CHI will be one of three new attractions at LEGOLAND Florida when The World of Chima opens July 3.

Mount Cavora Fun Facts:

  • The Mount Cavora ‘rock’ weighs 7,500 lbs; more than a large SUV!
  • The structure will pump 1,000 gallons of water/minute onto the ride path
  • The structure features the faces of the animal tribes represented in the Legends of Chima product storyline
  • The Mount Cavora ‘rock’ measures 40-foot wide by 23-foot high, but will tower 55 feet above The Quest for Chi, an immersive family water ride

About The World of Chima
Set in a faraway, mystical land inhabited by different tribes of animals, Chima is the world where CHI flows. CHI is a powerful energy source that gives the animals extraordinary powers, but now this peaceful land is in danger because the crocodiles want to have the CHI all to themselves.

  • At The Quest for CHI, guests will board watercrafts to become a part of the story, engaging in an interactive soaking battle through The World of Chima for the powerful energy source, CHI.
  • Outside of the main attraction guests will be able to unleash the power and race handheld ripcord vehicles at SpeedorzTM Arena.
  • Families will be further immersed in the story with the chance to meet characters Laval the Lion Prince and Cragger the Crocodile King, splash and play in Cragger’s Swamp play area and experience a 4-D Chima movie.
